Power connector

The power connector is used to safely and reliably supply power to telemetry units, sensors, and other measuring devices. In industrial applications, the standardized M12 design is most commonly used, combining power supply and signal transmission in a single rugged connector. This type of connector is commonly used in FIEDLER systems to connect sensors, data loggers, and external modules, where quick installation and resistance to moisture, dust, and vibrations are critical.

  • Standard M12 industrial design
  • Separate or combined power pins
  • High durability (IP65–IP67 depending on the model)
  • Quick, tool-free installation
  • Resistance to vibration and moisture
  • Suitable for outdoor measurement systems

Description

M12 power connectors are available in various pin configurations (typically 3–5 pins), with some pins reserved specifically for power (e.g., 12–24 V DC), while others are used for signals or the RS485 bus.
Using a connector-based solution significantly simplifies installation—it allows for quick disconnection and connection of devices without interfering with the cabling. When combined with M12 cables, the system is fully modular and suitable for outdoor installations.

In some FIEDLER devices, power and communication are handled via an M12 connector within a single compact interface, which increases the reliability of the entire system.

Applications

  • Powering telemetry stations
  • Connecting sensors and data loggers
  • Industrial measurement systems
  • IoT and environmental monitoring
  • Outdoor installations in harsh conditions
