The WS200 sensor is a compact ultrasonic sensor for precise measurement of wind speed and direction. Thanks to its ultrasonic measurement method, it has no moving parts, ensuring maintenance-free operation and long-term measurement reliability.
The sensor measures wind speed in the range of 0 to 75 m/s and wind direction in the range of 0 to 359.9°. It is equipped with an RS-485 digital interface and supports several communication protocols, including Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII, UMB, and SDI-12. Its IP66-rated design allows for use even in harsh outdoor conditions.
The WS200 is suitable for professional weather stations, hydrometeorological monitoring, weather tracking systems, and other applications where accurate and reliable measurement of wind speed and direction is required. One external temperature or precipitation sensor can also be connected to the sensor.
