Protection Against Water Leaks

Water leaks are a common risk in homes, offices, and other buildings. A burst pipe, a leak, or a malfunctioning device can cause significant property damage in a short amount of time. The FIEDLER AMS system continuously monitors the condition of the water supply system and, upon detecting a leak, can automatically shut off the water supply and send an alert. Moisture following a flood often leads to mold growth—therefore, early detection and rapid shutdown of the water supply also reduce the risk of mold formation.

How It Works

The system continuously monitors the status of the water supply system. When a leak is detected, it activates the shut-off valve and sends a notification about the event. The valve can also be operated manually; the device’s status and recorded events are available in the CloudFM web application, which can also send daily confirmations that the device is operational.

CloudFM - A GOOD APP IS ESSENTIAL

The app is connected to an automatic water shut-off valve that processes data on the current status in its vicinity; this data is then uploaded to the server in our cloud-based application. You can access the CloudFM app via a web browser on your computer or mobile device. From there, you can monitor the sensor’s status, check battery life, and view a map of sensors if they’re located at multiple addresses. You can also add a photo of the device’s location or your own notes, such as a phone number to call in case of an emergency and more. In the interface, you can easily set up your cell phone number, email address, or WhatsApp ID to receive notifications in the event of an accident. You’ll get a comprehensive overview—all devices in one place—presented in a visually appealing format using maps, graphs, and tables, accessible from anywhere.

If a leak is detected, the system can automatically shut off the water supply and send an alert via text message, email, or WhatsApp. Users can set up contacts to receive alerts, view the event history, and receive regular confirmations that the device is functioning properly.

The Hydro Logger H1 expands the line of small telemetry stations manufactured by FIEDLER. The GPRS data logger is suitable for collecting data from sites with or without mains power and wherever it is sufficient to transmit measured data to a server at longer intervals, typically once a day (the data logger’s internal battery is rated for 4,000 data sessions). Once preset threshold values are reached, data transmission and warning SMS messages are activated immediately. When using an external power source (12 V battery, AC adapter), the frequency of data transmission is not limited in any way.
