Datalogger for tanks and fire trucks

H500 – Level Gauge for Fire Trucks and Tankers

The H500 water level gauge assembly is designed to monitor the current water level in a fire truck’s water tank. In addition, this system can be used wherever a visual overview of the current water level or volume is needed in a tank, reservoir, well, or specific industrial process. In its basic configuration, the level gauge assembly consists of an H500 display and control unit, two light signal panels, and one submersible level sensor. This system can be further expanded with an external H520-B display unit located in the driver’s cab of a fire truck.

  • Water level measurement in the tank using a strain gauge sensor with 1 cm resolution
  • Wide measurement range of 0 to 4 m (6 m, 10 m) of water column
  • Backlit graphic display
  • Preset standard tank types, including the option to customize dimensions
  • Display of both the absolute and percentage amount of water in the tank
  • Display of time remaining until the tank is empty or full
  • Pump operating hours counter
  • Output for an external siren
  • Power supply from both 24 V and 12 V DC systems
  • Two high-brightness indicator panels for remote monitoring of current pumping/filling status, in 20% increments of the tank’s volume
  • Flashing panel alert for approaching tank emptying or filling
  • Output for a display and communication unit located in the driver’s cab
  • Mechanically robust design, high IP67 protection rating, corrosion-resistant materials

Description

The level gauge control unit uses a submersible level sensor to continuously measure the water level in the tank and, based on the tank’s dimensions, continuously calculates the current volume of water (in liters and as a percentage of the tank’s total volume). Both values are shown on the unit’s graphic display, which is located near the pump operator.
In addition, the H500 level gauge monitors the rate at which the water level is rising or falling during firefighting or tank filling and displays the time remaining until the tank is empty or full.
The H500 level gauge also features an input for monitoring the pump’s operating hours and an output for an audible siren, which can be used, for example, during the tanker filling process.

Applications

  • Monitoring the current water level in a fire truck's tank
