Telemetry station for water utilities and LVS

H2 – Level Logger

The Level Logger H2 was designed to monitor water levels and flow rates in open watercourses and to monitor rainfall during the construction of local warning systems (LVS).
The device uses a GSM/GPRS+SMS modem, it transmits the measured data to a server database at regular intervals and, in the event of an emergency, sends warning SMS messages triggered by a threshold or gradient alarm for rising water levels or when the moving sum of precipitation exceeds a set value over a specified time interval.

  • 8-channel telemetry station specialized in measuring water levels and precipitation
  • Ability to calculate precipitation using coefficients from a dynamically calibrated rain gauge
  • Current inputs for pressure and level sensors in VDJ and ČS
  • Binary inputs (flooding, building intrusion)
  • GSM/GPRS data transmission to a server
  • Integrated SMS alert system
  • Up to 5 years of battery life; 12 V DC external power input
  • Parameters configurable via the Internet
  • Rugged metal housing with IP67 protection
  • Low operating costs thanks to the ability to use standard prepaid SIM cards

Description

Level Logger H2 uses data hosting provided on the manufacturer’s server. This means users do not need to set up their own server or handle its operation and maintenance. Authorized users can access the data stored on the server at any time via a standard web browser. In addition to graphical and tabular visualizations, the server also enables statistical calculations of balance flows, searching for threshold values, data exports in several formats, and other functions.
The Level Logger H2 comes with a stainless steel bracket for mounting the data logger on a wall and a GSM whip antenna. Several GSM antennas with varying gain levels are available for installing the device in underground shafts and areas with weak signals. An antenna extension cable can also be ordered from the supplier.

Applications

  • Water level gauges, monitoring the conditions of rivers and streams
  • Monitoring of instantaneous and maximum peak flows
  • Continuous monitoring of water levels in gauging stations and reservoirs
  • Construction of networks of rain gauge and limnigraphic stations with the capability to send SMS alerts
