Dual and multi-channel units

H3, H7 – Multichannel Recording and Control Units

Versatile multi-channel data acquisition and control unit with GSM/GPRS (Wi-Fi) technology—Data Logger. The unit is suitable not only for monitoring and controlling water supply facilities (water reservoirs, pumping stations, transfer or metering shafts, water treatment plants, and wastewater treatment plants), but also for environmental monitoring. The unit offers high reliability, measurement accuracy, low power consumption, and automatic transmission of measured data to a server database.

  • Up to 96 measurement and data-logging channels
  • Current, voltage, pulse, and SDI-12 inputs, plus 2 RS485 buses for connecting level, flow, volume, temperature, humidity, pH, redox, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, pressure, rainfall, current, voltage, pulses, radiation, ...
  • Calculation functions between channels (sums, differences, moving averages, ...)
  • A pair of regulated power supplies for connected sensors, with adjustable voltage from 6 V to 16 V, conserve battery power during field measurements
  • Data logger function—measurement and recording at adjustable intervals from 1 s to 24 h, independently for each recording channel
  • Separate counter for evaluating total precipitation since the start of rainfall
  • Up to 208 binary input/output recording channels for monitoring the operation or malfunctions of pumps, blowers, and building entrances, as well as for controlling connected relays; AND, NAND, OR, NOR, and XOR logic functions across channels
  • Equipment control via 4 controllers with selectable operating modes: hysteresis, PID, pulse valve
  • Encrypted data transmission to the server via an internal GSM/GPRS module or a Wi-Fi module, for both measured data and parameters and commands
  • Direct GPRS communication between stations (e.g., control of the VDJ-ČS system)
  • Accessible graphs, tables, monthly summary reports, etc.
  • SMS alert system triggered by limit and gradient alarms via a binary channel, home alarm function (departure and arrival delays)
  • Optional radio communication module for collecting data from wireless sensors
  • Self-diagnostics linked to SMS alerts and the data server
  • Wide range of power supply options, from an external 12 V battery to a 24 VDC or 230 VAC power source
  • A modern, low-power-consumption station allows for up to 6 months of operation without replacing the battery, even with daily transmission of measured data to the server database via the GPRS network
  • Intuitive controls and a user-friendly menu, multiple language options, a color graphic touchscreen, and a keyboard
  • Robust die-cast metal housing with a high IP67 protection rating

Description

During the development of the new H7 telemetry and control unit, the key criteria were high durability and operational reliability. For these reasons, the unit is housed in a robust aluminum casting along with a backup power battery and input terminals for connecting sensors and transducers. The USB connector and the built-in GSM/GPRS communication module—or Wi-Fi, if applicable—also feature a high IP67 rating.
The H7 data logger includes many advanced self-diagnostic procedures, such as measuring humidity inside the device, monitoring the voltage and current flowing to connected sensors, and integrating the energy consumed from the power battery.
The large color touchscreen and physical keypad, together with a clear menu, contribute to the device’s easy and intuitive operation.
Several options for lockable enclosures, including mounting brackets and poles, are available for field installation of the H7 unit.

Applications

  • Control and monitoring of water supply facilities (WWTP, elevated water storage tanks, water treatment plants, pumping stations)
  • Control of technological processes—PLC
  • Flow and level measurement
  • Monitoring of water quality parameters
  • Field data acquisition and collection—GPRS data logger, telemetry station
  • Limnigraphic stations and local warning systems (LVS)
  • Weather stations
  • Remote meter reading
  • Wireless network data concentrators
