The M2001Q recording unit, together with the US1200 ultrasonic probe, forms a basic flow measurement system called the M2001-QU. This system is designed for continuous measurement of water flow in open channels.
The user has access to 4 dynamically assignable data logging channels for measuring levels, flow rates, as well as temperatures and other variables.
The data logging channels do not have fixed inputs. Two current inputs and a universal RS485 interface can be assigned to individual measurement channels as needed and depending on the type of sensor used to measure the relevant variable.
The M2001Q unit contains three switching relays. However, the unit’s parameters allow for the control of up to 15 relays based on limit, time, or logic conditions. The number of controlled relays can be expanded using external SP06 modules.
As standard, the M2001Q unit is equipped with one galvanically isolated active 4–20 mA current output. A secondary current output can be installed in the unit upon request. Each current output can be assigned to any measurement channel. Additional current outputs can be added using external MAV420/DIN modules.
The M2001Q unit has a large data memory for storing daily flow volumes on individual measurement channels. Instantaneous flow values are not stored in the unit; this feature is available on the H3 unit.
