River Monitoring with a Local Warning System (LVS)

Prolonged rain, snowmelt, or torrential rainfall can cause a significant rise in river levels and subsequent flooding within a short period of time. The FIEDLER AMS Local Warning System (LVS) allows for continuous monitoring of river levels, precipitation, and other parameters, and provides timely alerts of emerging hazards. The system is compatible with the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ), allows you to configure up to 30 recipients for SMS alerts, and enables the export of measured data to Microsoft Excel for further processing.

Continuous Monitoring
Real-time measurement of water levels, precipitation, and other parameters with automatic data transmission
Automatic Alerts
When set limits are exceeded or water levels rise rapidly, the system automatically sends out alert messages
Public Data Access
Selected data can be made publicly available, for example, through the hladiny.cz system
Long-term operation
Stations can operate on battery power and are designed for long-term field operation
How it works

How It Works

The station is based on the M4016-G3 telemetry unit with a built-in GSM/GPRS modem, to which a water level sensor, rain gauge, and sensors for wind, temperature, humidity, or water quality can be connected. You can set up multiple threshold and gradient alarms (e.g., for a rapid rise in water level) and send warning text messages to multiple contacts simultaneously.

Where it can be used • Early flood warnings • Protection of residents, property, and infrastructure • Support for decision-making regarding flood control measures • Making hydrological data available to municipalities and the public

Software

CloudFM – A GOOD APP IS ESSENTIAL

The application is connected to data loggers that collect data from meters, sensors, and transducers; this data is then uploaded to a server and archived in a database that users can access via a web browser. The application processes all measured data, which it then converts into statistics; as a user, you can view this data in a visually appealing format through graphs and tables, and you can customize the entire interface to suit your exact needs. Thanks to near-real-time monitoring, you’ll be able to predict potential flood threats, allowing you to make timely decisions and warn the public of impending danger. The entire system operates in an easy-to-use environment that you can manage from a computer, smartphone, or tablet.

Application

Level Monitoring and Alarm System

The web application allows users to continuously monitor water levels in watercourses and assess their current status. When set limits are reached, the system can automatically alert users and activate a local warning system. This gives users an overview of water level trends and enables them to respond in a timely manner to emerging flood risks.
